Are there any preparations I need to make before my appointment?
It is best not to eat for at least 90 minutes before your massage treatment, And only a light meal at that time.
What can I expect when I go for a massage appointment?
On your first visit you will complete a confidential health history form. Your therapist will go over your health history form with you to determine your treatment needs.
Is Pregnancy Massage Safe?
Pregnancy massage is always safe unless otherwise indicated by your health care provider. It should be performed by therapists specifically trained in pregnancy massage.
Pregnancy can be a magical time for a woman, but also a source of aches and pains of all kinds. Backache, swollen ankles, aching muscles, fatigue and stress are not uncommon.
Changes that occur during pregnancy are physiological, affecting the musculo-skeletal system and virtually every other organ system. Changes are also emotional, with the expecting mother adjusting to her changing body and lifestyle. These changes begin in the first week of gestation and continue throughout the pregnancy and some months after delivery.
Our Therapists
Our therapists have received two or three years of comprehensive training at a recognized school and are registered with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario.
Our therapists have also completed an intensive pregnancy massage course focusing on providing a safe and effective treatment as well as prenatal massage techniques, positioning and self care strategies.
